Saint-Gobain Sekurit, as part of the Saint-Gobain group, is one of the biggest automotive glass solution providers worldwide. For more than 50 years, Saint-Gobain Sekurit has provided high quality, high-tech and functional automotive glass for global automotive industry. The first Sekurit plant was set in shanghai in 1995. With the demanding increase from Chinese market, Saint-Gobain Sekurit China had decided to establish its third Chinese automotive glass plant in Qingdao, close to the Group’s float glass plant. The plant is design to supply 1.3M full car sets automotive safety glass, with 35K SQM building area and 400M RMB investment.  The first line of Qingdao plant will start production in September of 2012. With this leading-edge plant, boasting the latest environmental and energy-saving technology, Saint-Gobain Sekurit, will reinforce its position to competitively serve the carmakers in China. This investment will be a huge stride for the Group’s development strategy in Asia and emerging market.
