PSP internship
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research and content support: Translate UNHCR media materials (press releases, statements, briefing notes, pamphlets and brochures), policy documents and reports from English to Chinese, and vice versa;

  • Social media creative content support: support on planning, copywriting and content production of wechat/weibo posts;  

  • Campaigns support: provide timely and qualified assistance to resource mobilization campaigns online and offline;

  • Partnership support: support the development and maintenance of the partnership database, including prospects/donor information,update of engagement, meeting minutes and other related records.

  • Partner network support: support overall private sector cooperation action and search information of potential donors and partners; 

  • Undertaking other duties as required by the Supervisor.

 
Minimum qualifications required
  • A recent graduate (completed studies within 1 year of applying for this internship) or current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university;

  • Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in English language and literature, Translation Studies, Communication Studies, Business and Marketing, etc.;

  • Fluent in English, proficiency in other languages i.e. French or Arabic is a plus;

  • Firm commitment to a full-time internship of six months.

 
Important:
  • The aim of the internship is to provide professional experience in an international organization which is related to and supplements studies or interests in international relations, public international law or other related areas;

  • The internship provides an opportunity to work in a multi-cultural intergovernmental organization;

  • UNHCR will provide a food and transportation allowance for interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party.

  • The internship program is not connected with the recruitment process; nevertheless, UNHCR is willing to provide reference and a fair performance evaluation of the internship for his/her contribution to UNHCR’s work.

匈牙利驻华大使馆 ASSISTANT FOR POLITICAL SECTION AND TO DHM


The Embassy of Hungary in Beijing is now seeking an organized, diligent assistant for its Political Section and to the Deputy Head of Mission. 

Job Summary:
An executive assistant role, providing administrative support to the officers in the Political Section and to the DHM of the Embassy of Hungary in the People’s Republic of China. 

Primary duties include: drafting, editing, translating (Chinese-English and English-Chinese), and proofreading official correspondence, reports, and other documents; assisting officers with official visits, seminars, and other events as necessary; maintaining department records as well as files on subjects of interest; and making appointments, managing schedules and calendars, and maintaining contact lists for DHM.

The position also involves providing primary research support on Chinese policy items when required. 

Requirements:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma;
- Minimum of two years of executive assistance or administrative experience;
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple on-going files or tasks;
- Strong command of English language and good editing skills;
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and basic office machines, and familiarity with the Internet for research purposes is required;
- Some knowledge of the organization of the government and an interest in Chinese politics, international affairs, and diplomacy. 

Work Conditions and Benefits
Working hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday (excepting Embassy holidays) Overtime may be occasionally required on evenings or weekends in the case of extraordinary events, state visits, or when otherwise requested

We are looking for a bright, self-driven and ambitious Junior Project Manager with exceptional communications and organizational skills to promote swissnex China’s many projects and activities in the field of Academic Relations. Acting as a connector between people, projects and ideas, you will support swissnex China to initiate and foster knowledge exchange and long-lasting partnerships between Swiss and Chinese higher educational institutions. As Junior Project Manager, you are able to work across disciplines, happy to embrace and lead change, and ready to help us bring swissnex’s outreach to the next level. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team working in an international, creative and collaborative environment at our Shanghai office.

  Responsibilities  

  • Academic Relations: Establish and cultivate close relationship with stakeholders from Swiss and Chinese higher educational institutions. Facilitate collaborations and exchanges for students, researchers and professors. Support visiting delegations, professors, administrators, sabbaticals and students.


  • Project Management: Organize and coordinate delegation visits, events, workshops, presentations and conferences.


  • Research: Conduct research on Chinese higher education and innovation. Closely follow current trends in the academic field. Prepare and hold presentations introducing Swiss higher education system and other hot topics to students.


  • Communications & Networking: Represent Swiss universities as ambassador at student fairs, educational conferences and respond to queries and requests relating to the educational field. Support, strengthen and expand the Swiss Alumni network in China.

  Requirements  

  • Swiss (with official residence in Switzerland) or Chinese citizenship

  • Bachelor and master’s students and graduates (start of internship within 1 year after graduation), preferably from a Swiss university or university of applied sciences

  • Knowledge of the higher education environment in Switzerland and China preferred

  • Prior experience in event organization and/or project management in a similar field preferred

  • Strong competency in research and writing

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; avid networker and enthusiastic presenter
